This is an initiative made to spread some railway heritage knowledge and to instigate people to share a bit of their knowledge and work. Currently, the railway infrastructure remains are a global concern. This industrial heritage was a part of many cities development and, because of that, they are a key part of the cities identity. However, the neglected state in which many railways are today made them become an urban and social problem.

This digital open source aims to present some railway legacy safeguard cases to instigate the development of good practices of preservation and reuse. Besides that, the collection has being built to awake the memory of this legacy in some prying eyes and to give the chance for who used to catch the train re-experience it. The railway is an urban infrastructure that deserves to be part of the urban dinamic again all around the world, thus its memory should be transmited to preseve this past as a part of the modern urban life. That is the goal of our participation in many international activities.
